Presents, presents,presents!

Presents, presents, presents! I love when all the presents are wrapped and filling up the bottom of the tree (in our case this year, the corner of the room). Hope everyone is having a great holiday season!

Anniversary Dinner

So for our anniversary dinner we ended up at bucca di beppo's. We waited for an hour when they told us 30 minutes. I was mad (because we had Taylor with us and he still wasn't feeling good) and so they took us to be seated and it was the wrong table number so we stood there like idiots until they figured it out. They ended up seating us at the kitchen table so we could look at the head chef's butt and see the yummy food come out. They tried to make us feel special saying you have to reserve that table. It was pretty cool. We ended up partially satisfied, I guess. Stupid Saturday nights!

A Big Weekend!

So we had a fun weekend!  First of all we celebrated Kiana's birthday, which is actually today.  Happy Birthday Na, we love you!!  We can't believe she is 10.  We did the whole get together thing at the Lion House down town.  It was fun.  They give you a tour and tell you about Brigham Young, we played button-button and hide the thimble, pulled taffy, ate cake and ice cream and a snack, and got sent home with an awesome gift bag.

They had bonnets for the girls to put on.  Right here she is pulling taffy.

Everybody pulling taffy!

The boys got these hats to wear!  Does he pull it off?

I don't know if she can blow out 10 candles??

We learned how Brigham Young wore a bib.  He put it over his ears so he didn't get food in his beard.  Smart!

Kyleigh did awesome helping with the presents, especially the-telling-you-what-it-is part!!  Kiana has got to love family, she made off with a haul!!  She got New Moon stuff (which she loved, loved, loved), clothes, fashion design stuff, jewelry making stuff, shoes, pajamas, etc., etc.  Just a ton of cool stuff!

On Saturday, Kiana and I, went to the ballet with my mom and Mary.  It was good, would recommend everyone go see the Nutcracker at least once.  The only part that was ridiculous was the clap happy people.  Every 2 seconds they would clap.  I just had to start clapping to see if people would follow.  It was just so beautiful, I had to clap every 3 seconds, there were tears in my eyes.  Yes, the clappers were annoying!!

I took the advandtage of her cuteness while we were there and took some pics.  My mom bought her 2 dresses for her birthday, one to wear to the ballet and the other for her pics with Taylor.  This dress went really well with her complexion.  She look so adorable and grown up here.

We had to get a close up.  These mirrors in the hall in the Capitol Theater were great for pics.

Later that night we went to dinner because it was mine and Yhostin's 1 year anniversary.  I cannot believe this time last year we were in sunny Hawaii (I want to go back).  Time flies!! It was a good first year.  I love you babe!!

After birthday on Thursday, shopping all day on Friday and pics in the afternoon, ballet on Saturday and dinner that night, we just relaxed on Sunday.  It was a fun weekend.  We always enjoy being with family.  Thanks for the ballet mom, thanks for everyone coming to spend Kiana's birthday with us, and thanks babe for being an awesome husband and a great dad to your daughter!

Kiddie Kandids

We went and had pics done of Kiana and Taylor on Friday. Poor Taylor was sick and we made him go. We got about 5 poses of Taylor because the poor guy did not want to leave his mom. Mary took him to the doctor and he ended up having strep throat and 2 ear infections. We are mean!  The end results turned out pretty good, regardless of our crappy photographer and Taylor being sick.  Here are the raw photos, without any editing.

Festival of Trees

Yhostin, Ervin, Tiffani, Yasmin, Jeremy and I went to the Festival of Trees on Saturday.  I haven't been since I was a kid.  The trees were awesome.  Some people go all out.  Basically, they have taken anything they love and turned it into a tree.  There were Star Wars, camping, ice cream, stuffed animals, motocross, everything.  Only a couple of the trees had not been sold.  One of the trees was listed at $3500.  I want to know how much they raise, because they were a ton of trees and most had been sold.  I didn't know that they sold both little and big trees and wreaths, all being donated.  It was fun to go see all of the creative trees.  I just wanted to post a couple to show how creative they are, they look a little crappy because all I had was my phone.

Some of the tops of trees were amazing, it was like an arrangement all its own.

I liked the top of this tree and the color scheme.

This was the first time I had ever seen an upside down tree.  The marshmallows on the camping tree were such a cute touch.

Nothing Like Fun in the Sun for Thanksgiving!

We went to Phoenix for Thanskgiving this year!! Is was so nice and warm and fun to be with the fam. We enjoyed the warm weather, so much that we went swimming at Kim's apartment.

Is she trying to be Santa and get in the Christmas spirit?

Kim's apartment complex was really nice. It was like a resort, word's from her mouth as well.

We all came over to the clubhouse at Kim's and just hung out so we could enjoy time together. There we had a little pool competition. Daviana has got some skill!

My dad kept asking where the pool shark was, little did we know that he was the pool shark. I think he won almost every game he played. Nice job dad!!!

This was the first time we got to see my cousin Jessica's baby Troy. He is so stinking cute. I was so bummed that I could not hold him because I had a dumb cold the whole time. Here, his Uncle Fabian is keeping him company. Fabian had to get as much time in as possible since him and his wife, Brittany, live in Florida now.

Later we all headed to the fire pit to relax.

And much to our enjoyment, we made smores! Yummy! Trying to save some for later Kiana??

Troy enjoying his new chair.

We enjoyed going to the park in our flips flops and t-shirts to go toss around the football.

Run Fabian!

Get the ball!

I love the little palm tree that is growing at a unique angle.

We went to Dave and Busters. It was fun. Kiana got herself a cute, decorative pillow from her tickets that she won after playing the games. Thanks Daviana and TJ for letting us come spend Thanksgiving at your house. The end came too soon. We love you and miss you!! It was nice to see everybody, we miss you all (TJ, Daviana, Kim, Jessica, Jovanny, Troy, Brittany, Fabian, and my mom and dad).
I am so excited for Christmas. I wanted decorate as soon as we got home. We had Sunday to spare before the weekend was over so I put us to work putting up christmas. We have actually never put lights up on our house but I decided I wanted to this year. We also put up some cute lit reindeers and a sleigh that are my moms. The yard looks really good.

I love looking at the trees all lit in the dark!

So, since we bought new furniture and our front room is so small we would be squished with our huge Christmas tree put up. Plus, it gave me a good excuse to not have to deal with it!! We got this cute 4 & 1/2 foot entry way tree and put it on the coffee table. Kiana and I decked it out in our usual color scheme, black and fuschia. Well, I hope everyone had a great and safe Thanksgiving. Can't wait for all the Christmas posts.
