Maine

So, my mom and I went to Maine for my cousin Fabian's wedding. This is what is looks like out your window while driving through Maine. The eastern United States is like a freaking forest. Along the freeways, all you see are trees, in the towns, all you see are trees. You don't even know there is a town there. I like my desert, I like seeing the city.

You drive over alot of cool bridges on the coast. This is the only one I took a pic of.

This is our cottage that we stayed in in Belfast, Maine. It was pretty cute, and a little crowded. My mom and I stayed there with my grandma and my great aunt. It was interesting, to say the least, being with my mom's mom.

This is the view from the room. (a little crowded) You can see the ocean in the background.
The leaves were changing colors and since you are in the forest you see alot of it. Every tree is right in front of you. Red, burgundy, yellow, orange, and green. In the words of some "oh, look at that," "oh, isn't that gorgeous," "oh," "oh," "oh!" It was pretty, but the comments got a little old from the surrounding party, especially since all you see are trees. It was not like they were few and far between.

Another pic of the ocean. We didn't really get to any awesome sandy beaches.

We got to Maine Wednesday night and Thursday was a nice day. Then hurricane Kyle, turning into a tropical storm, started to hit and the weather got pretty nasty. It rained non-stop the rest of the time.

This was going into the airport. We flew into New Hampshire and then drove 3 hours to Maine.

This was the window at the church they got married. It was a nice church.

Here is the cute couple. Brittany and Fabian 9-27-08. They had a nice wedding.

Fabian was the perfect groom. He couldn't keep his eyes of his bride. He had us all in tears when he started to cry while she was walking down the isle.

This pic is awesome (a little fuzzy though). I think they look like models.

The whole group.

Kyle had to add his touch to the pic. Such cute sister-in-laws. Jessica and Daviana, you two looked hot. (the two on the left are Fabian's siblings)

Group pic!! Jessica, Kim, Aunt Dolores, Mom

They were nice feeding each other.

There reception was decorated really cute. They did a fall decor. They placed you by putting 'I love you' in a different language, and then you sat at that table.

I love lanterns. They are so cute at weddings. I loved them at Terra's wedding too.

Awesome flower arrangements on the table. It was funny, one of the glasses was filled with champagne so when they did the toast my mom took a drink thinking it was sparkling cider. She was so mad when she took that swallow. We all laughed.

This was the table for the wedding party. They had alot of candles lit and little lanterns, giving it a cozy feel.

Outside they had the corn stalks, leaves, and like 10 pumpkins that were painted gold.

Where the place cards were.

On Friday, before it got all rainy, we went to main street in Belfast to walk the farmer's market. They had these cute things to take pics in, so of course we did.
Here is Kim's photo.

Jessica's photo.

This one was perfect for my mom. She is always buying lotto tickets. This will probably be the closest she will ever get to winning, unfortunately.

This was actually not on main street, but was at Perry's nut house (as it says).

Kim's turn at the nut house!!

We had to go to somewhere to eat lobster. My mom was the only one who gave in. They either complained because it cost too much, or it was too much work to crack the shell and get the meat to eat. But who wants to work to eat their food?? Or, you can be me and just say "yuck"!! They brought her a bib, who told them she would need it?? lol

a close up of the bib

I took a pic of the lobster (she actually had the stuffed lobster) for everyone. Whenever I said I was going to Maine I would be asked to get them some lobster. So here is there lobster. (I am poor so I can't afford to send it home, and besides I never actually ran across some fresh lobster to buy. Maybe the next time I go to Maine I will actually be working and can afford to buy you all some! yum, yum)
Anyways, that was the main idea of the Maine trip!! It was quick and we didn't see alot because we mainly did wedding stuff. Thanks mom for taking me, I love you!! I owe you a trip when I have some money. We will do something fun and see lots of stuff!

We went camping this weekend with my parents on the Monroe mountain. I was hoping for a good weekend, but everybody told me it was suppose to storm. It started to rain Saturday night and we got lots of fog. It was cool because you could see the fog rolling in. It would just go right by you. I just hoped it would not snow, like people kept on saying, and luckily it didn't. It wasn't even that terribly cold. It ended up being a pretty enjoyable weekend.

Kiana killed me when she wore her goggles with the helmet. She looked like a bug.

She had to pull this mean looking face when I was taking a pic of her on the 4-wheeler. We actually let her drive it. She did pretty good. She was only scary when Yhostin was in front of us because he would go fast and she would try to catch up to him (she would get a little to close to things you shouldn't be close to).

Kiana and Yhostin

My cousin brought two of his bulldogs. They are just a month younger than Britain, just turned one. They are so stinking cute. This is Rosey with my dad. She was the runt of the litter and she is still really tiny (can't really tell in the pic). I wanted to steal her because she was so cute and little and full of wrinkles.

This is her sister patches. Patches is a little bigger than Rosey. I don't think Britain looks like a bulldog compared to these two. They have the face and all the wrinkles on their body.

Rosey

I took a million pics of them. When I would try they would move because they wanted me to pet them instead.

Yhostin got this seat cover for his b-day from my parents. Before we had towels covering it (the seat needs to be replaced--haven't got to the interior part of the job yet). My mom wanted to see it because I told her it looked good so I posted the pic.

Around the first part of August we had bamboo floors installed. I took before and after pics so we could remember the difference. I hate carpet (it is so disgusting). It was a long week and a half. First of all, the guy came Wednesday and told us he would have it done on Friday. He ended up also coming Saturday and still took Monday to finish up. All this time we had no room to sleep in and the entire house was a mess. It was not a fun time. After he finally finished, it took us a week to get everything put back together.

Our bedroom before....

and after! (I should have taken pics before we moved stuff back in so I could take at the same angle. The corner of the room I take a pic of is the corner that is less messy, even though it is still kinda a mess.)

(Forgot to upload the before pic.) Alot going on in here but you get the main idea.

Kiana's room before.............

and after! (not exactly the clean corner, but the best way to see the most floor)

This was part of the nightmare we had to deal with for the time it took. We slid this dresser into the bathroom because we ran out of room in the kitchen. It was in front of the door so you had to shower and go to the bathroom with the door open. I even studied one night on the toilet and used the dresser as a desk (there was nowhere else to go in the house, everybody was sleeping downstairs, kitchen was a mess, and I don't think one floor was done when I had to study).

The filled kitchen (minus our mattress, it went in the next morning)

Another view of the kitchen.
Here is a video (slightly long) of the fog, you kinda get what we got. This was light compared to what we saw.
